JUPITER, Fla. -- Marcell Ozuna's three-run homer in the second inning boosted the Marlins to a five-run advantage, but the Nationals rallied back with four runs in the seventh inning and pulled even on Isaac Ballou's RBI double. The game ended in a 5-5 tie on Friday at Roger Dean Stadium.
With Giancarlo Stanton playing for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, Ozuna batted cleanup and had two hits, including his homer, and a walk.
"Our at-bats have been pretty good," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said. "There were a lot of guys that had quality at-bats. Ozuna's at-bats were good today."
Wilmer Difo had an RBI triple in the fifth inning to get Washington on the board, and Michael Taylor had two singles.

The Marlins did their damage early off Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde, Washington's No. 2-ranked prospect, according to MLBPipeline.com, who worked just 1 2/3 innings and gave up five runs. Fedde was lifted after Ozuna's two-out homer in the second inning and 51 pitches.
"I think I just kind of let the game speed up," Fedde said. "My fastball command was bad, and that just kind of led to the hitters staying off of everything else."
Marlins right-hander Scott Copeland, who is expected to open the season at Triple-A New Orleans, tossed three scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one. It was his second straight start with three scoreless innings.
The Marlins manufactured two runs in the first inning. Dee Gordon led off with a drag-bunt single, and he swiped second for his first stolen base of the spring. Derek Dietrich had a sacrifice fly to put Miami on the board, and Ichiro Suzuki added a sacrifice fly to left.

Nationals Up Next:Joe Ross will be on the mound for the Nats when they host the Astros on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. ET on Gameday Audio at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. This will be the fourth Grapefruit League start for Ross, who has allowed two runs in 8 2/3 innings this spring with eight strikeouts and two walks.
Marlins Up Next: The Marlins head to Lakeland on Saturday to face the Tigers at 1:05 p.m. on Gameday Audio. Dan Straily, Miami's projected fifth starter, is scheduled to make the start. Detroit counters with Justin Verlander. Dietrich is expected to start at third base.
