July 7: 3B (Nationals’ No. 3 prospect, MLB No. 44 overall) promoted to Triple-A
House, 21, slashed .234/.310/.423 with a .733 OPS, 11 doubles, 13 home runs, 24 walks and five stolen bases in 75 games with the Double-A Senators. There will be an emphasis on accepting walks and hitting the ball in the zone.

“When you get to Triple-A, it’s about consistency,” said manager Dave Martinez. “That’s going to help you up here in the Major Leagues. We’ll definitely keep an eye on him, we’ll have reports on him now every day and we’ll see where he’s at. But he’s there, he’s knocking on the door. He’s just another one of our young guys that we feel like can help us up here in the big leagues.”

House was one of the top prospects who participated in Major League Spring Training. He joins the Nats’ No. 2 prospect (No. 4 overall) Dylan Crews on the Red Wings.

“What I learned about him is that he’s a really good third baseman, he really is, and he loves to play the game,” Martinez said.

July 7: SS (Nationals’ No. 18 prospect) promoted to Double-A
In conjunction with House’s promotion to Triple-A, Made was promoted from High-A Wilmington to Double-A Harrisburg. Made, 21, hit .239 with 17 doubles, one home run, 27 RBIs and 11 stolen bases in his first 72 games this season. He was acquired last year from the Cubs organization in the Jeimer Candelario trade.

July 6: INF recalled from Triple-A Rochester; 3B designated for assignment
Lipscomb returns to the Nationals’ lineup and will spend the majority of his time playing third base for the club. The infielder was optioned back to Rochester on June 24 to work on his swing. He hit .395 with five doubles, 12 RBIs, four walks and eight runs scored in his most recent 10-game stint with the Red Wings. He batted eighth in the second game of a four-game set against the Cardinals on Saturday.

“We wanted to give him a shot,” manager Dave Martinez said. “He went down there and checked all the boxes. He started swinging the bat really well, started driving the ball as of late, so we thought it’d be a good opportunity for him to keep doing what he’s doing down there and bring him up here and see what he can do everyday.”

This will mark Lipscomb's fourth stint with the Nationals this season. Senzel was designated for assignment as the corresponding move. In 64 games with the Nats, the third baseman hit .209 with 10 doubles, seven homers, 18 RBIs, 27 walks and 25 runs scored.

“Nick struggled a little bit, but for us it’s more about Trey, getting Trey up here and getting him some at-bats,” Martinez said. “[Nick] always wanted to help us win and he gave me tons of effort, which I love, so I wish him the best.”
