Tickets for home opener to be released Jan. 24 with start of TwinsFest at Target Field
MINNEAPOLIS -- Single-game tickets for the 2014 season at Target Field will go on sale on Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. CT, the Twins announced Tuesday.
The Twins also announced that tickets for the club's home opener against the A's on April 7 will go on sale on Jan. 24 at 4 p.m. CT in conjunction with the start of TwinsFest at Target Field.
"We are looking forward to a successful 2014 season and are encouraged by the more than 11 million fans who came through the Target Field turnstiles during the past four seasons," Twins president Dave St. Peter said. "The 2014 schedule is extremely attractive and we are anticipating another season of high-demand games."
Season tickets also remain on sale and are the only way for fans to guarantee the opportunity to purchase 2014 All-Star Summer ticket strips. The Twins are set to host the All-Star Game at Target Field on July 15.
The Twins will also continue variable pricing for the 2014 season with per-game prices for both single-game and season tickets based on the time of game, date and opponent. The five-tier variable pricing will apply for all tickets sold on Feb. 22.
And starting Feb. 23, the Twins will apply demand-based pricing to all seating sections of Target Field. The prices will be based on demand and was first implemented by the club in 2011, but only affects single-game ticket pricing.
The Twins open their home schedule with a three-game series against the A's before hosting the Royals and Blue Jays for three games each. They have 14 home games in April, 14 in May, 10 in June, 16 in July, 12 in August and 15 in September.
They also host the Dodgers (April 29-May 1), Brewers (June 4-5), Padres (Aug. 5-6) and D-backs (Sept. 22-24) in Interleague Play.
