MIAMI -- The first wave of roster moves has begun for the Marlins under the direction of new chief executive officer Derek Jeter.
The club on Saturday announced right-handers Vance Worley and Javy Guerra, along with infielder Tyler Moore and outfielder Destin Hood have been outrighted off the 40-man roster. The transactions reduce the roster to 36.
The four are now free agents and could still return to the Marlins, although not with a guaranteed 40-man-roster spot.
Moore, 30, a non-roster invitee in Spring Training, made the squad as a right-handed hitter off the bench and delivered some timely hits during the season. Used mostly at first base, he appeared in 104 games, batting .230/.267/.401 with six home runs and 30 RBIs.

Worley, 30, was used in multiple roles, posting a 2-6 record with a 6.91 ERA in 24 games -- including 12 starts. The veteran right-hander also added one save.
Guerra, 31, made 16 relief appearances, and was 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 21 innings.
Hood, 27, spent the entire season at Triple-A New Orleans. He hit .260/.349/.498 with 14 home runs and 41 RBIs in 62 games.
