JUPITER, Fla. -- Tim Tebow collected two singles and made a diving catch on the warning track. But it was Matt den Dekker who had the more decisive plate appearances with a two-run double and three RBIs in the Marlins' 6-2 win on Wednesday at Roger Dean Stadium.
The individual highlights were turned in by Tebow, who started in right field and collected two singles. The Marlins added some insurance in the sixth inning on Miguel Rojas' two-run single.
Matt Harvey surrendered four runs, two earned, in 3 1/3 innings with three strikeouts. The right-hander was lifted after 68 pitches. Marlins lefty Justin Nicolino threw three shutout innings with one strikeout.

Luis Guillorme's infield RBI single off Dillon Peters in the seventh inning got the Mets on the board.
Nicolino yielded an infield single to Tebow in the second to put two runners on, but the southpaw got out of the inning unscathed.
"He's had a great career, in the football aspect," Nicolino said of Tebow. "It's kind of nice seeing him out there competing and giving everything he has to offer. When he stepped up, I obviously heard the crowd. But to me, I saw him as another hitter, a guy who is trying to take me out of the game. Biggest thing was competing the same way I would against someone else."
The Marlins manufactured a run in the first inning on Dee Gordon's leadoff double and J.T. Realmuto's sacrifice fly. And in the second inning, they scored an unearned run. Harvey committed two errors on one play while trying to retrieve a line drive struck off his leg off the bat of Adeiny Hechavarria. den Dekker's sacrifice fly gave Miami a two-run lead.

In the fourth inning, den Dekker laced a two-run double, but he was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a triple. Harvey was lifted after the drive to center. Derek Dietrich led the inning off with a double to right. One of the runs was unearned because shortstop Matt Reynolds booted Hechavarria's grounder, allowing two runners to reach.
Mets Up Next: His long-awaited debut in the past, Zack Wheeler will make his second Grapefruit League start when the Mets travel to West Palm Beach, Fla. for a 1:10 p.m. ET game Thursday against the Nationals. Wheeler, who has not appeared in a regular-season game since undergoing Tommy John surgery in March 2015, will oppose left-hander Giovany Gonzalez.
Marlins Up Next: Off on Thursday, the Marlins return to action on Friday at 1:05 p.m. ET to take on the Nationals, live on an exclusive audio webcast on marlins.com. Right-hander Scott Copeland, who threw three perfect innings in his last start against the Astros, will make the start for Miami. Washington has yet to announce its starter.
