Mariners 'flip' over new TV commercials
PEORIA, Ariz. -- The Mariners unveiled their 2018 commercials, five entertaining advertisements that will air throughout the season on local and regional broadcasts starting Wednesday night.
The commercials, which were shot on location during Spring Training, can also be seen on Mariners.com. The spots are a creative collaboration between the Mariners and the Seattle agency Copacino+Fujikado.

"I'm a professional doing my job behind the camera and in front of the camera. I'm pretty focused on what I am doing," designated hitter Nelson Cruz joked. "The first year was like, 'What should I do?' but you get better doing it every year now."

Cruz is featured in the commercial entitled "Work-Related Injury." Ryon Healy, Nick Vincent and James Paxton star in "Big Maple," while Mike Zunino, Felix Hernandez, Dee Gordon, Jean Segura and Mitch Hanigar appear in "Art of the Frame." The "Mound Visit" stars Robinson Cano, and "Flip" features Ben Gamel and Kyle Seager.
"They have learned over the years of my strengths and weaknesses, and the less I can talk is a strength of mine," Seager said. "They have gotten me down pretty good."

Seager said the hardest part of the commercial shoot "was getting Gamel to flip his hair."
"He did a lot of flips," the third baseman said. "He was actually flipping it too well and they were having a hard time getting it on camera. He had too much hair and he's too good at it. He had to tone it down a few times."
