ST. PETERSBURG -- Third-round pick Bryson Brigman, a shortstop out of the University of San Diego, has signed with the Mariners for a $700,000 bonus, according to a source, meaning Seattle already has two of its top three selections from last week's MLB Draft under contract.
Brigman, a Draft-eligible sophomore because of his age, agreed to just under-the-slot value of $708,200 for the 87th overall pick. The Mariners have not confirmed any signings other than their first-round selection, No. 11 overall pick Kyle Lewis.

The Mariners were the first MLB team to sign their first-round selection, inking Lewis -- an outfielder from Mercer University in Georgia -- to a $3,286,700 bonus on Saturday. That salary matched the assigned MLB slot value for that spot.
As of Wednesday afternoon, 11 of the 34 first-round selections have signed.
Brigman, 20, missed part of the early season this year with a sports hernia, but returned to hit .372 with 31 runs, 22 RBIs and 17 stolen bases in 47 games and was named to the All-West Coast Conference first team for a second straight year.
The Mariners signed seventh-rounder Matt Festa, according to a source. Festa, a right-hander out of East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, agreed to a $10,000 bonus. That figure is well below the assigned slot value of $212,700 for that spot, but as a college senior Festa doesn't have much bargaining power and most teams select seniors with the understanding that they can save slot money on those picks and use that to go over slot on other signees.
The team also signed 10th-round pick David Greer, a junior third baseman out of Arizona State, to a $135,000 bonus, slightly below the slot value of $157,600 for the 297th overall pick.
