Veteran right-hander has agreed to a Minor League deal with the Cubs, a source told MLB.com's Jordan Bastian. The club has not confirmed.

Teheran, in his 13th Major League season, was designated for assignment by the Mets on April 9 after making just one appearance, allowing four runs on six hits in 2 2/3 innings in an April 8 start against the Braves.

The 33-year-old made his debut with Atlanta in 2011 and established himself as a steady presence in the Braves' rotation from 2013 to 2019, pitching to a 3.62 ERA across just over 1,300 innings. Since becoming a free agent at the end of the 2019 season, Teheran has made just 26 appearances in the Majors with the Angels, Tigers, Brewers and Mets.
