June 30: Returns to earth in second Double-A game
A night after recording a multi-hit game in his Double-A debut, Julio Rodríguez struggled at the plate, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. Rodríguez's diverse set of skills was still on display though as he turned a hit-by-pitch into a steal of second base and a run scored in the game's first inning. Gameday »

It was announced earlier today that Rodríguez has been invited to the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, adding yet another accolade to the highly touted prospect's career.

June 29: Doubles in big Double-A debut
Star right fielder Julio Rodríguez showed out in his Double-A debut, going 2-for-5 and recording an RBI double in the top of the fifth inning. Rodríguez joined the Arkansas Travelers roster after not only helping the Dominican National Team qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics earlier this month, but also hitting .325 with six home runs and 21 RBIs across 28 games with High-A Everett. June 28: Promoted to Double-A
The Mariners promoted Rodríguez to Double-A Arkansas after his red-hot start to the Minor League season.

Rodríguez had a .325 batting average, .410 on-base percentage, .581 slugging percentage and .992 OPS in 28 games at High-A Everett, with six home runs and five stolen bases.

June 26: Helps Dominican Republic advance to Tokyo
Julio Rodríguez flashed the leather in right field as the Dominican Republic advanced to Tokyo with an 8-5 victory over Venezuela. At the dish, the No. 5 overall prospect in baseball went 0-for-3 but drew a walk. Official rosters for the 2020 Olympics will be announced shortly, with opening ceremonies taking place on Friday, July 23.

June 17: Joins Dominican Republic for Olympic qualifying
Julio Rodríguez left the High-A Everett AquaSox Thursday to join the Dominican Republic for Olympic qualifiers in Mexico. Rodríguez did the same in May, but the D.R. did not qualify then as the United States won the first qualifier.

June 16: Collects single in loss
Julio Rodríguez had a fairly quiet night in High-A Everett's 4-3 loss to Vancouver, going 1-for-5 on the night. His lone hit was a single. The Mariners' No. 2 prospect has had at least one base hit in 11 of his past 13 games and in all but one game since returning from Olympic qualifiers. Gameday »

June 15: Records second 3B, first fielding error
Baseball's no. 5 overall prospect continues to torch High-A pitching, as he filled up the box score with a 2-for-5 performance that also featured three runs scored, a triple, two RBIs, and a walk. Since returning from his stint with the Dominican National Team earlier this month, Rodríguez is hitting .350 (7-for-20) with four extra-base hits. The lone blemish from Rodríguez's otherwise dominant display came during the sixth inning, when he committed his first fielding error of the season (one of eight total between both teams) and extended a seven-run rally for the opposition. June 12: Doubles in quiet night
Julio Rodríguez had another quiet night for High-A Everett Saturday night, going 1-for-4 with a double in the AquaSox win over Eugene. It was J-Rod's eighth double of the year and his 15th extra-base hit in 26 games. He is now hitting .327 on the year. Gameday »

June 11: Goes hitless in win
It was a rare off night for Julio Rodríguez, as the 20-year-old outfielder went hitless for the first time since May 21, ending his eight-game streak. The Mariners' No. 2 prospect went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in High-A Everett's loss to Eugene Friday night. Despite the hitless performance, his batting average still sits at .330. Gameday »

June 10: Extends hitting streak to eight
Julio Rodríguez salvaged what would've been a hitless Thursday night during his last at-bat in the eighth, slapping a single to extend his hitting streak to eight games. Rodríguez reached base three times in total, going 1-for-3 with two walks as High-A Everett took home the win against Eugene. Rodríguez is now hitting .343 on the year, pacing the High-A West by a good margin. Gameday »

June 9: Posts his first four-hit game of 2021
Julio Rodríguez is back to terrorizing pitchers for High-A Everett. Baseball's No. 5 prospect went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBIs and his sixth homer of the year on Wednesday. He ended up a triple shy of the cycle in his first four-hit effort since Aug. 2019. Rodríguez has a .414 average during his current seven-game hitting streak. June 8: 1-for-4 in MiLB return
Julio Rodríguez registered one hit, one run and one RBI for High-A Everett in his first Minor League game since May 27 on Tuesday. The Mariners' No. 2 prospect is coming off a fantastic showing at the WBSC Olympic Baseball Americas Qualifier, where he went 11-for-24 with two home runs and seven RBIs in five games. It was reminiscent of what he's accomplished for the Aquasox this season; Rodríguez owns a .319/.404/.571 slash line through 22 games with Everett. Gameday »

June 5: Rodríguez wraps up impressive qualifier
Julio Rodríguez, the No. 5 overall prospect, helped the Dominican Republic to a 6-5 comeback victory over Canada in the final game of the WBSC Olympic Baseball Americas Qualifier. Rodríguez reached base three times and came through with what proved to be the game-winning RBI single as the D.R. rallied from a pair of deficits to earn the win. Rodríguez singled in the third inning and came around to score, tying the game at 3 after Canada had jumped out to a 3-0 lead. He was then intentionally walked in the fourth inning before stepping to the plate in the eighth inning with two on, two outs and the game tied at 5. Rodríguez ripped a single up the middle, plating the go-ahead run that proved to be the decisive tally.

The Mariners' No. 2 prospect finished the Olympic qualifier with 11 hits, three more than any other player. He hit .458 (11-for-24) with two home runs and seven RBIs for the Dominican Republic.

June 4: Rodríguez keys DR rout
Rodríguez had a three-hit, three-RBI day to set the tone for the Dominican Republic in its 14-4 victory over Venezuela in the first game of the Super Round. After singling in the first inning, Rodríguez came through with a two-run base knock in the second inning. Then, with his club holding a three-run lead in the eighth, Rodríguez delivered another RBI single to ignite a late-game rally that helped the Dominican Republic pull away.

June 2: Julio homers twice to propel DR to Super Round
Rodríguez came up big for the Dominic Republic in Wednesday's decisive matchup against Nicaragua in the opening round of the WBSC Olympic Baseball Americas qualifier, homering twice in a 3-for-5 performance to lead Team D.R. to a 13-3 eight-inning rout and into the Super Round.

Rodríguez got things going early for the Dominican Republic with a two-run blast in the first inning and he added a massive solo shot in the seventh. The 20-year-old slugger, who also singled, is now 6-for-14 over three games in the tournament.

Team D.R. will face the second-place finisher from Group B on Friday, while Team U.S.A. also advanced from Group A.
