The Astros announced Saturday that right fielder Josh Reddick underwent arthroscopic surgery on the AC joint in his left shoulder, and he is expected to be ready for Spring Training.
The 32-year-old outfielder slashed .275/.319/.409 with 14 home runs in 141 games for Houston in 2019, playing strong defense to finish third among American League right fielders with nine Defensive Runs Saved and third in AL Gold Glove Award voting for right fielders.
The 2020 season will be Reddick's 12th in the Majors -- he has a career slash line of .263/.322/.431 (105 OPS+) over three seasons with the Red Sox, 4 1/2 with the Athletics, a half-season with the Dodgers and the past three with Houston, helping the Astros win the World Series in 2017.
