Josh Naylor stole a bit of the spotlight during the debut of the Mariners' top prospect on Thursday night.

Jarred Kelenic, Seattle's No. 1 prospect and MLB's No. 4, stepped to the plate as the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the first at T-Mobile Park and swung at the first pitch thrown to him in the Major Leagues.

He connected on a 93 mph fastball from Cleveland starter Zach Plesac and sent a fly ball down the right-field line, hooking toward the seats in foul territory. Naylor came sprinting over and reached out to catch the ball before falling over the low wall, his feet flying up over his head.

Naylor sprung back onto the warning track and casually tossed the ball back to the infield. Kelenic stopped in his tracks just past first base and retreated to the dugout, the first entry in his Major League ledger complete: One at-bat, one pitch, one highlight-reel play needed to get him out.

Kelenic finished 0-for-4 in his debut, a 4-2 Cleveland victory.
