WASHINGTON -- Nationals top prospect James Wood (MLB No. 5) has provided highlights upon highlights in his first 43 games this season with the Triple-A Red Wings. The honors are accumulating and the intrigue surrounding his Major League debut grows each day.

When asked Monday about Wood’s potential arrival, Nationals manager Dave Martinez said, “Soon.” Then he noted, “He’s got to develop a little bit. He’s young, he’s 21 years old. When he’s here, we want him to be here to stay. He’s going to get here."

While Wood is still putting up head-turning performances with Rochester, let’s take a look at 20 numbers that help tell the story of his standout talents.

Let’s take a look around the Nationals' Minor League affiliates:

Double-A Harrisburg

Andrew Pinckney (No. 17) earned Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors. Since May 14, the outfielder has batted .375 with three multihit games, a pair of doubles, a triple, two home runs, seven RBIs, nine runs scored and a stolen base.

High-A Wilmington

Daylen Lile (No. 7) extended his hitting streak to 11 games, which included a triple on Tuesday. He is batting .294 with an .834 OPS in May.

Single-A Fredericksburg

On Sunday, Roismar Quintana hit for the cycle for the first time in Fred Nats history. The outfielder went 4-for-5 as he recorded the cycle in order. He concluded his achievement with a two-run homer in the ninth inning.

Rookie-level Florida Complex League

In addition to No. 5 prospect Cade Cavalli making his first rehab appearance on Monday (more on that below), Seth Shuman also pitched in a game for the first time since 2022. The right-hander, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, recorded five strikeouts in two innings.
