Lough inks Minor League deal with Tribe
Five-year vet hit .239 in 30 games for Phillies last season

The Indians signed journeyman outfielder David Lough to a Minor League deal, the club announced Tuesday. Cleveland assigned Lough to Triple-A Columbus.
Lough had been in the Tigers' Minor League system after signing with Detroit this offseason, and he was released on May 17. He was batting .169 in 24 games with Triple-A Toledo.
The 31-year-old Lough has played five Major League seasons, two each with the Royals and Orioles and one with the Phillies last season. He hit .239 with a .342 on-base percentage in 79 plate appearances over 30 games in 2016.
Lough is a career .254/.300/.371 hitter with 13 home runs and 67 RBIs in 342 Major League games.
