ARLINGTON -- Hunter Pence was activated off the injured list prior to the D-backs-Rangers game at Globe Life Park on Tuesday. The 36-year-old will bat third as the designated hitter.
Pence went 2-for-4 in his fourth medical rehab game with Double-A Frisco on Sunday night.
In addition to Pence's activation, the Rangers optioned outfielder Willie Calhoun to Triple-A Nashville, placed left-hander Jesse Biddle on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Monday) and called up right-hander Taylor Guerrieri from Triple-A on Tuesday.
