Hall of Fame receives ISHA honor
Night of Champions magazine garners communication award
The National College Baseball Hall of Fame was honored by the International Sports Heritage Association with a communication award for the 2011 "College Baseball's Night of Champions" magazine. The Hall of Fame will receive the inaugural trophy -- the ISHY -- at the 2011 ISHA conference in Ontario in October.
The magazine was designed by Andrea Watson and will be recognized in the category of "programs, annual reports or magazines." It provides biographical information about the inductees as well as topical information from the previous college baseball season.
"The magazine has become an important part of our work annually," said College Baseball Hall of Fame executive director Mike Gustafson. "We use it as a 'leave-behind' in almost everything we do. It is the feature gift in our membership program as well as a key informational piece in our fundraising efforts. I'm extremely happy for Andrea to be recognized for the incredible amount of work she puts into this magazine every year on a volunteer basis."
The International Sports Heritage Association is a non-profit membership organization incorporated in 1971 to assist sport museums and halls of fame to develop, operate and promote their facilities in the best way possible. ISHA includes more than 130 members from China, Belgium, Switzerland, Singapore, Australia, Canada and the United States.
