Francisco Alvarez didn't just extend his hitting streak to five games on Saturday -- the 19-year-old put a little swag on it.

The top Mets prospect absolutely demolished a pair of home runs and drove in three to provide all of the offense for High-A Brooklyn in a 4-3 loss to Jersey Shore at FirstEnergy Park.

The performance marked the second multihomer game of Álvarez's career and first of the season. The blasts also not only extended his hit streak but also accounted for his third multihit effort over his last four games.

Against the BlueClaws, MLB Pipeline's No. 33 overall prospect led off the seventh and stepped in against Erubiel Armenta, who had just entered the game. After taking a pitch high from the left-hander, Álvarez fouled off a fastball low in the zone. Armenta attempted to sneak the same pitch past him again, however, the cleanup hitter connected with the 1-1 offering and launched it to left to put Brooklyn on the board.

In the following frame, the righty-hitting catcher faced Aidan Anderson with one on and two outs. After working the count full against the right-hander, Álvarez squared up the sixth pitch of the at-bat and put a charge into it out to center. The blast pulled the Cyclones to within one run.

Álvarez is 8-for-20 with two taters, a pair of doubles, six RBIs and five runs scored over his last five games. The Venezuelan native is sporting a .503 slugging percentage in 49 games with Brooklyn.

It was a big night for the Mets top prospects as MLB Pipleline's No. 72 overall prospect Brett Baty clubbed his second home run at the Double-A level with Binghamton. The 21-year-old has found the seats nine times this season across two levels of the Minors.
