Tatis playing right in DR winter league action
Major League Baseball may be in the offseason, but there’s still baseball being played around the globe, with some of the world’s top talent on display. That includes Padres All-Star Fernando Tatis Jr., who is playing in the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) tonight.
You can catch Tatis in action with MLB.TV’s Offseason Package, which allows fans to stream LIDOM games live on all supported devices -- in addition to a host of other premium content -- for $24.99.
Tatis will be suiting up for the Estrellas Orientales, who are managed by Tatis’ father, former Major Leaguer Fernando Sr.
One of MLB’s most dynamic players, the younger Tatis made a successful move from shortstop to right field in 2023, winning a Gold Glove Award and earning Platinum Glove honors in the National League. He also finished with 25 homers, 29 steals and a .771 OPS over 141 games.
This will be Tatis’ first time playing in LIDOM since the 2018-19 campaign, the same season the Orientales won the LIDOM championship.
