Last month, the Phillies hosted the Softball Carpenter Cup presented by Nike, a 31-game tournament recognized nationally as one of the finest softball competitions for high school students. The event served as a chance for top high school softball players to compete in front of college scouts, as the tournament has been a catalyst for scholarships and admission to the country’s top universities.
After three days of games, the tournament culminated in a championship game between Delaware South and Lehigh Valley, that ended in a 2-1 Lehigh Valley victory.
