Legend Scott Rolen Inducted Into Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame

The Phillies bestowed one of the team’s highest honors upon Scott Rolen, an eight-time Gold Glove third baseman and seven-time All-Star, as he was inducted into the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame before Friday’s game against the New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park.

The festivities for the Toyota Scott Rolen Wall of Fame Salute began with on-field introductions of Phillies Wall of Famers. Participants included Bobby Abreu, Larry Bowa, John Kruk, Mike Lieberthal, Greg Luzinski, Garry Maddox and Jim Thome. Many of Rolen’s former teammates were also be in attendance.

Fellow Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt also spoke to the crowd before Rolen’s plaque was officially unveiled at the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame. Highlights included a special presentation by Phillies Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer John Middleton.
