College Students Go Behind the Scenes at Phillies #CollegeSeries Sponsored by Temple University’s Fox School of Business

Over 140 college students had the chance to go behind the scenes in the business of baseball at the sold-out Phillies #CollegeSeries Sport Management & Hospitality Night sponsored by Temple University’s Fox School of Business.

The pregame event on April 1 featured a Networking Hour, where attendees had the chance to meet informally with Phillies and Temple University executives from ballpark operations, special events, security, marketing, communications, human resources and more. Special guests included 1993 NL champs Mickey Morandini and Milt Thompson, along with 2008 WS champion Dickie Noles, who took photos with guests.

The program concluded with a moderated question-and-answer session, where panelists from the Phillies sport management and hospitality industry, as well as Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality, provided excellent insight into their areas of business and shared invaluable career experience and advice.

Afterwards, students cheered on the Phils during that night’s matchup against the Cincinnati Reds.
