Tuesday, August 13

The Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals faced off in the first game of the two-game Beltway Series. Anthony Santander recorded his 36th home run of the year in the third inning, setting the single season record for the most home runs by a switch- hitter in Orioles history.

Wednesday, August 14

The Orioles beat the Nationals, 4-1, marking their 71st win of the year. Gunnar Henderson recorded his 30th home run of the year in the first inning. The home run landed on Eutaw Street, the third of his career. Dean Kremer earned the win, allowing just one run over 6.0 innings. Coby Mayo lined a single in the fifth, marking his first Major League hit in his Oriole Park debut.

Thursday, August 15

The Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox, 5-1, improving to 27-13 against American League East opponents. Zach Eflin earned his ninth win of the year, and his fourth straight since joining the Orioles, throwing 6.0 innings and striking out a season-high eight batters. Gunnar Henderson hit his 31st home run in the fourth inning, while Cedric Mullins connected on his 13th of the year in the fifth.

Friday, August 16

The Orioles and Red Sox scored a combined 22 runs in the second game of the four-game series. Jackson Holliday went 4-for-5 becoming the youngest player in Orioles history to record three hits and score three runs in a single game, and the youngest player in O’s history to record four hits in a game since Orioles Legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson in 1957. Ramón Urías tallied a career-high five RBI, including his seventh home run of the year in the seventh inning.

Saturday, August 17

Cade Povich threw a career-high 6.1 innings, allowing just two runs while striking out a career-high-tying six batters. Gunnar Henderson homered in the sixth inning for his 32nd long ball of the year.

Sunday, August 18

The Orioles beat the Red Sox, 4-2, to split the four-game series and improve to 73-52 this year. Albert Suárez threw 6.0 shutout innings, extending his scoreless innings streak to 17.2 and picking up his eighth scoreless start of the season. Seranthony Domínguez recorded his third save as an Oriole and his first of more than 1.0 innings since 2018. Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson both homered in the win, extending their season total to 18 and 33, respectively. Henderson is one home run shy of tying Orioles Legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. (1991) and Miguel Tejada (2004) for the most homers in a single season by an Orioles shortstop.
