The New York Mets' odds have had several highs and lows throughout their tumultuous 2021 season. The Mets have been in a tight race for the NL East lead for much of the year, and they have been battling with the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies for a spot in the postseason. The Mets spent much of the year as divisional favorites before falling behind the Braves and Phillies in August and into September, but they have remained somewhat in the hunt at +1600 to win the division with a few weeks remaining in the season. The Mets are also +5500 to win the National League and +10000 to win the World Series.

The Mets conclude their home series with the St. Louis Cardinals on Sept. 15 at 7:10 p.m. ET, with Tylor Megill facing off against Jon Lester. The Mets are the listed favorites with a moneyline set at -165 and a run line of -1.5 (+125). The total is 8.5, and Megill has a strikeout prop set at 5.5 (over -130). On the offensive side, there aren’t any prop bets for Pete Alonso at the time of writing, so Javier Báez has the best listed home run line at +300.

Following Wednesday’s game, the Mets will have an off day on Thursday before starting a weekend series at home against the Phillies. The Phillies have recently seen their playoff hopes dwindle as well, and they’re in the same boat as the Mets now, needing to string together a winning streak in order to get closer to a playoff spot. The Mets will ultimately face the Braves in Atlanta in their final series of the season, and it could wind up being a pivotal one for the NL East.
