PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates signed three more Draft picks Monday, including fourth-rounder Braeden Ogle, a high school left-hander who received a bonus well over slot.
Ogle, selected 135th overall out of Jensen Beach (Fla.) High School, had been committed to attend the University of Florida. But the Pirates inked him to a deal with an $800,000 signing bonus, according to MLBPipeline.com's Jim Callis, using some of their surplus bonus-pool savings and spending $374,300 above the pick's assigned value.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder will begin his career with the Gulf Coast League Pirates in Bradenton, Fla. The Pirates' top two unsigned picks are second-round lefty Nick Lodolo and 11th-round righty Max Kranick.
Ogle went 5-1 with a 1.40 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 35 innings as a senior at Jensen Beach High. His father, Chris, was a defensive tackle and offensive lineman at Clemson University.
The Pirates also signed infielder Tyler Leffler, their 23rd-round selection from Bradley University, and assigned him to the Rookie-level Bristol Pirates. Left-hander Jordan Jess, their 31st-round pick out of the University of Minnesota, will also begin his professional career with Bristol.
Pittsburgh has signed 23 of its 41 Draft picks, including first-rounder Will Craig and its second- through 10th-round selections.
