Dodgers-Mets postponed Monday; twin bill Tuesday
NEW YORK -- The start of a much anticipated series between the Dodgers and Mets has been postponed due to rain.
With thunderstorms beginning to roll through Queens on Monday afternoon and expected to continue throughout the evening, the teams pushed back their originally scheduled 4:10 p.m. ET series opener. That game will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader Tuesday beginning at 4:10 p.m. ET. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first.
Mets starter Tylor Megill, who was scheduled to pitch Monday, will instead start Game 1 of the doubleheader. José Quintana will pitch Game 2.
The Dodgers tweaked their rotation so that Tyler Glasnow can start Game 1. Monday’s originally scheduled starter, Gavin Stone, will pitch Game 2.
Fans with tickets to Monday’s game cannot use them for Tuesday’s doubleheader, but they can exchange them for tickets to any future game (excluding the June 25-26 Subway Series, but including Tuesday’s doubleheader). Tickets for Tuesday’s originally scheduled 7:10 p.m. ET game are valid for both games. Full information is available at Mets.com/Rain.
