Dodgers give D-backs permission to talk to Bundy
LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have given the D-backs permission to interview third-base coach Lorenzo Bundy for their vacant managerial position.
As a Minor League manager in the Dodgers' system before his promotion to the big league club, Bundy worked for former farm director De Jon Watson, who is now a front-office official for Arizona.
Bundy also is a former D-backs coach. This is his first year on the Dodgers' Major League staff.
"It's exciting for me, especially being the first time for a manager's job," Bundy said. "It's a great experience to go through, a learning experience. But I'm also 110 percent focused on my job here right now."
Bundy said he had not been in touch yet with Arizona and did not know when he would be interviewed.
