PHOENIX -- Alvin Toles slugged a grand slam and Justin Turner followed for back-to-back shots against Jesse Hahn as the Dodgers erased a four-run deficit for a 10-6 win over an Oakland A's split squad on Saturday at Camelback Ranch.
The A's had taken a 4-0 lead off Dodgers starter Rich Hill with a three-run homer by Matt Chapman in the first inning and a bases-loaded walk by Alejandro De Aza in the second inning. Hill was charged with those four runs in 3 2/3 innings with six strikeouts and four walks. Hill's spring ERA is 8.03.
Hahn, vying for a spot in the starting rotation, was charged with seven runs (five earned) in four innings. His spring ERA is 8.80.
Josh Rodriguez homered off Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen, who was making his first appearance since returning from the World Baseball Classic.
Turner went 3-for-3 and is now hitting .450 this spring.
A's Up Next: The A's will trek to Maryvale on Sunday for a road matchup with the Brewers. Right-hander Jharel Cotton, who will begin the season as the club's No. 3 starter, will be on the mound for the 1:05 p.m. PT contest that can be heard live on Gameday Audio. Relievers John Axford, Sean Doolittle and Frankie Montas are also expected to see action in the game.
Dodgers Up Next:Scott Kazmir, who has struggled with mechanics and velocity all Spring, gets his first Cactus League start since March 6 at Surprise against the Rangers in a game that will be shown on MLB.TV. Kazmir is a longshot to reclaim his rotation slot for the start of the season. Brandon McCarthy, who appears to be in the rotation, will pitch in a Minor League game.
