Injury updates: Ray, Miller, Shipley, Delgado
PHOENIX -- The D-backs are still dealing with a host of injuries, but manager Torey Lovullo reported encouraging news regarding several of those situations on Monday.
• Robbie Ray (10-day DL, oblique strain) threw from 90 feet on Monday and told Lovullo he felt "very good."
• Shelby Miller, who has been recovering from Tommy John surgery, threw a bullpen session on Monday. His next step is to start in an extended spring training game on Thursday.
• Braden Shipley (10-day DL, right elbow inflammation) threw on Monday and is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday. This is a major positive, considering Shipley received a cortisone injection just six days ago.
• Randall Delgado (10-day DL, shoulder) will continue to play long toss on Tuesday before throwing a bullpen session on Wednesday.
• Jake Lamb is currently on a rehab assignment with the Class A Advanced Visalia Rawhide. He had a double in five at-bats on Monday and felt good. He will remain with Visalia for now.
"Everything is in a very good spot," Lovullo said prior to Monday's series opener against the Brewers.
