Cuddyer on pace for one of his best seasons
DENVER -- Michael Cuddyer says his 2006 season with the Twins was the best of his career -- triple-digit RBIs and runs, a career-high 41 doubles, 24 home runs. There are still 100 games left in this campaign, but Cuddyer, 33, is on pace to make 2012 an even better statistical year.Entering Thursday's game against Oakland, Cuddyer was hitting .284, the same average he had six seasons ago. He has nine home runs, 42 RBIs and 22 doubles -- at this clip, he's projected to finish with 24 homers (second-most in his career), 113 RBIs (four more than his career-high) and 59 doubles (most by 18)."I feel good right now, you go up and down though," Cuddyer said. "We'll see how it all unfolds."Wednesday night against Oakland, Cuddyer tied career-highs with two home runs, four hits and 11 total bases. He's tied for third in the National League with 32 extra-base hits and is second in doubles.
