Cubs well-represented on ballot, but need help

MIAMI -- Six Cubs position players are among the top 5 in their respective positions in the latest National League update on the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot.

Kris Bryant, batting .280 with seven home runs entering Tuesday, is the highest, remaining No. 2 at third base with 1,079,963 votes, behind St. Louis' Matt Carpenter, who garnered 1,974,503 votes.

Meanwhile, Miguel Montero (.248, five home runs) ranks third in catcher votes, Anthony Rizzo (.316, nine home runs) ranks third in first-base votes and Starlin Castro (.265, four home runs) is also third in shortstop rankings. Both Rizzo and Castro were second at their positions last week.

A couple of outfielders made the top 15 as well. Dexter Fowler is currently 12th, while Jorge Soler ranks 15th.

Fans can cast their votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- using the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, July 2, at 10:59 p.m. CT. For the first time, voting is exclusively online, where fans may submit up to 35 ballots.
