World Series MVP by day ... CMAs presenter by night?

November 9th, 2023

What can’t do? Last week, the 29-year-old went 2-for-4 in Game 5 of the World Series to help the Rangers win their first Fall Classic in team history.

This week, the World Series MVP hung out with some of the biggest names in country music, walking the red carpet at Wednesday’s Country Music Association Awards and taking the stage with country music stars Brian Kelley and Parker McCollum (a die-hard Astros fan), to announce the winner of Single of the Year.

“Congrats on winning the championship, and winning your second World Series MVP,” Kelley and McCollum said as Seager was introduced to raucous applause.

This isn’t the first time Seager has shown off his love for country music. He told Billboard in 2018 that country was his favorite musical genre and had Luke Combs’ country classic “Cold as You” as his walk-up song earlier this year.

Seager was part of the show’s star-studded cast of guest presenters, which also included Peyton Manning, Darius Rucker and Keith Urban, among others.

It’s anyone’s guess what walk-up song Seager will pick for the 2024 season, but chances are he had plenty of country music stars make their pitch on Wednesday.
