LSU holds steady, shakeup below in HOF Power Poll
LUBBOCK, Texas – Another week of the unexpected brought about more changes in the College Baseball Hall of Fame Power Poll.
The only thing remaining constant is LSU (20-3), which remains at the top of the poll for the sixth consecutive week after rallying for a key SEC series victory at Arkansas. The Tigers lost the first game in the late innings but came back to bludgeon the Razorbacks by a combined score of 26-7 in the final two games of the series.
Series losses by previous No. 2 Louisville and No. 3 Arkansas as well as No. 7 Texas Tech shake up the poll behind the Tigers. Florida (22-4), which swept SEC foe Ole Miss over the weekend, ascends to No. 2 while Stanford (15-5) continues to climb back toward the top, landing at No. 3 after taking the first two games of a Saturday-Monday Pac-12 series against Utah. Surging Wake Forest (22-3), fresh off an ACC sweep of Miami, Fla., takes over at No. 4 while Virginia (22-2) swept North Carolina State in ACC play to land at No. 5.
