Charlie Condon has homered again, and if you know anything about Charlie Condon, that’s no surprise.

The No. 1 prospect in the 2024 MLB Draft, according to MLB Pipeline, launched his 30th homer of the 2024 season Tuesday, extending his NCAA Division I-leading total. Condon connected for a two-run shot in the first inning of Georgia's road game at Kennesaw State.

The homer continued a prolific pace for the redshirt sophomore from Marietta, Ga. -- a clip superior to even a historic homer-hitting season in MLB. Despite making outs in the three at-bats following his homer, Condon is still averaging a home run every 5.7 at-bats. The lowest mark in the AL/NL Modern Era came in 2001 from the Giants' Barry Bonds (6.52).

While Condon's power is his best tool, receiving a 70 grade on the 20-80 scale, his hit tool is also impressive. Following Tuesday’s game, Condon’s average on the season sat at .456, which also tops Division I. It’s been an incredible season for the slugger, and he should hear his name called very early during this year’s Draft, which runs from July 14-16.
