Nov. 4: Extended a qualifying offer to free agent SS
By extending a qualifying offer to Adames ahead of Monday’s deadline, the Brewers ensure they will receive a premium pick in next year’s Draft if Adames departs in free agency. It marks the first time that Milwaukee has extended a qualifying offer, which is a one-year contract worth the average of the sport’s top 125 salaries – set at $21.05 million this year. Adames has until Nov. 19 to accept, in which case he would return to the Brewers for 2025. But since he’s 29 years old and the top shortstop in this winter’s free agent class, he is widely expected to decline the offer in order to seek a multiyear mega-contract elsewhere. More >>

Nov. 4: Declined the club option on RHP ; RHP declined his mutual option; RHP claimed off waivers by the Mets; LHP claimed off waivers by the Cubs; 1B/OF and RHP cleared waivers and outrighted to Triple-A Nashville
Rea, Montas, Bauers and Wilson will all become free agents in the wake of a flurry of moves, some of which were necessary to clear 40-man roster spots for the reinstatement of players on Milwaukee's 60-day injured list, including star outfielder . Bauers and Wilson were both arbitration-eligible, so the early moves offer an indication that the Brewers didn't intend to tender contracts to either player ahead of another contractual deadline coming later this month. Nov. 3: Brewers decline club option on RHP and C ; exercise club option on RHP
The Brewers were widely expected to pick up the option for Peralta, who will earn $8 million in 2025 after leading the team in starts and innings last season. And after declining the options on Williams and Haase, both players remain with the club as arbitration-eligible. More >>

Nov. 2: Brewers decline mutual option on C
Sánchez gets a $4 million buyout and joins the pool of free agents. He hit 11 home runs in 245 at-bats for the Brewers, who still have starter , backup and top prospect on the 40-man roster at the moment.

Nov. 1: 1B exercises player option for 2025
The veteran first baseman picked up a $18 million player option to stay with the Brewers and build upon last season’s comeback from a major knee injury. Hoskins hit .214 with 26 home runs and 82 RBIs in 131 games for Milwaukee in 2024, his first year back from a torn left ACL that sidelined him for the entirety of his final year with the Phillies.

Oct. 31: SS and RHP elect free agency; LHP 's mutual option declined
Free agents across baseball automatically fall off of rosters on the day following the conclusion of the World Series, starting a period in which they may only negotiate with their own teams. They are free to sign with any club at 4 p.m. CT on the fifth day after the World Series -- in this case, that will come Monday. Both Adames and Ross are likely to have multiple opportunities in the wake of solid years, especially Adames, who started all but one game in 2024 and finished the regular season with 32 home runs, 112 RBIs, 21 stolen bases and a .794 OPS. Ross, coming back from multiple years spent rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, didn't stick as a Brewers starter but did make an impact down the stretch as a reliever, and finished the regular season with a 3.77 ERA in 74 innings.

In an additional move, the Brewers declined their half of left-hander Wade Miley's $12 million mutual option, giving him a $1.5 million buyout and making him a free agent. Miley, who underwent Tommy John surgery in April, was leaning toward continuing his career if the right opportunity arose, and a Milwaukee reunion remains possible.

After trying to rehab an injury that sidelined him in late July, Yelich announced on Aug. 15 that he would undergo season-ending back surgery and that he expects to be healthy in time for the 2025 campaign. Woodruff underwent shoulder surgery on his throwing arm in October 2023 and was non-tendered by the Brewers the following month. He signed a two-year deal with the club on Feb. 21, when he was placed on the 60-day IL, and has been rehabbing in Milwaukee throughout the season after beginning a throwing program in mid-February. He reached a milestone on Aug. 27 when he threw off the mound for the first time since surgery, but he stressed he still had a long way to go. He's signed through 2025 with a mutual option for '26. LHP (left flexor strain; No. 6 on Brewers Top Prospects list)
Expected return: 2025
After electing to undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery on the advice of two of the top orthopedic surgeons in the country, Gasser had his procedure -- a standard UCL repair without the brace -- on June 24 and is expected to miss 12-14 months, according to manager Pat Murphy. It's an unfortunate blow for the 25-year-old left-hander, who was 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA in five Brewers starts beginning with his May 10 Major League debut against the Cardinals. (Last updated: Oct. 4)
