Disguised Bobby V now has a Topps card
It's about time
It's one of the more entertaining moments in baseball history.
Mets manager Bobby Valentine was ejected from a game against the Expos in 1999 for arguing a catcher's interference call on Mike Piazza. He retired to the clubhouse, as any ejected player or coach must do. But then, well, he returned to the dugout. (Or someone that looked very much like Bobby Valentine returned to the dugout.)
Although it was more than 20 years ago, the Bobby Valentine disguise GIF still makes the rounds on social media every so often and Valentine himself says people on the street ask him, "Where are your mustaches and glasses?" every other day.
So, it makes sense that this viral sports moment now has its own Topps Card -- it's by artist Blake Jamieson and available for purchase today through Aug. 20.
Maybe Valentine can hand it out to voters as part of his campaign to become mayor of Stamford?
