Bobby Dalbec is off to a hot start at Double-A since his recent promotion, going 2-for-3 with two homers in Portland's 7-3 victory over Richmond on Sunday. The No. 6 prospect in the Red Sox organization, according to MLB Pipeline, is hitting .444 (4-for-9) with Portland after slashing .256/.372/.573 with 26 homers in 100 games for Class A Advanced Salem.
Dalbec's first homer was a two-run shot in the third inning, and he followed that up with a 451-foot solo homer to center field in the seventh. He was on base four times in all, also drawing two walks.
Other top prospect performances Sunday:
• White Sox No. 2 prospect Michael Kopech -- the No. 13 prospect overall -- tossed seven strong innings for Triple-A Charlotte in its 4-2 victory over Durham. The hard-throwing right-hander gave up two runs on eight hits, walking none and striking out eight to lower his season ERA to 4.05 in 22 starts. The 22-year-old went through a rough patch earlier this season, but over his last four starts, has posted a 2.84 ERA.

• Brendan McKay, the Rays' No. 2 prospect and the No. 29 prospect overall, went 3-for-5 with a double and a homer in Class A Advanced Charlotte's 14-9 loss to Dunedin. The performance upped his batting average from .205 to .229 in 22 games for Charlotte since being promoted from Class A Bowling Green earlier this season. The two-way star, who plays first base in addition to pitching, also owns a 3.56 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in seven appearances (five starts) for Charlotte.
• Angels No. 4 prospect Jahmai Jones went 2-for-5 with a double, homer and five RBIs in Double-A Mobile's 10-1 rout of Birmingham. He's hitting .257/.353/.406 with two homers and five steals in 25 games for Mobile. Prior to his promotion to Double-A, he slashed .235/.338/.383 with eight homers and 13 steals in 75 games for Class A Advanced Inland Empire.

• Angels No. 7 prospect Kevin Maitan turned in a 3-for-5 performance of his own, launching a solo homer during Rookie level Orem's 16-9 loss to Ogden. It was the 18-year-old shortstop's fourth homer of the season, and he's slashing .252/.319/.371 in 36 games.
• A pair of Blue Jays prospects shined during Sunday's action, with No. 26 prospect Forrest Wall going 3-for-5 with a double, triple and three RBIs in Double-A New Hampshire's 7-6 victory over Erie; and No. 30 prospect Rowdy Tellez belting his 11th homer of the season during a 2-for-3 performance in Triple-A Buffalo's 6-5 comeback victory over Scranton/Wilkes-barre.
In eight games for New Hampshire since coming over from the Rockies organization in the trade that sent reliever Seunghwan Oh to Colorado, Wall is hitting .333 (11-for-33) with three doubles, a triple and a homer. Tellez is slashing .272/.344/.437 in 93 games for Buffalo this season.
• Cubs No. 29 prospect Jason Vosler had a big day for Triple-A Iowa, going 4-for-4 with a double and a homer in a 9-4 victory over Las Vegas. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .247/.335/.406 with six homers in 37 games for Iowa since being promoted from Double-A Tennessee earlier this season.
• DJ Peters, the Dodgers' No. 8 prospect, enjoyed a big game for Double-A Tulsa on Sunday, going 4-for-5 with a double, homer and three RBIs in a 10-6 victory over Arkansas. The 22-year-old center fielder is hitting .241 with 22 homers in 108 games for Tulsa this season.

• Right-hander Brigham Hill, the Nationals' No. 29 prospect, threw seven scoreless frames for Class A Hagerstown, allowing four hits while walking one and striking out six to lower his ERA to 3.02 in nine Class A starts.
• Rangers No. 17 prospect Yohander Mendez turned in six strong innings in Double-A Frisco's 5-1 win over Corpus Christi, giving up an unearned run on five hits while striking out five. It was an encouraging sign for the 23-year-old left-hander after he had surrendered 13 earned runs over 17 innings (6.88 ERA) over his previous three starts.
• Clarke Schmidt, the No. 16 overall selection in the 2017 Draft and the Yankees' No. 7 prospect, tossed 4 1/3 scoreless frames, giving up three hits, walking none and fanning six during Class A (short season) Staten Island's 2-1 loss to Aberdeen. The 22-year-old right-hander has a 3.09 ERA in eight appearances (seven starts) across three Minor League levels this season. Schmidt had Tommy John surgery prior to signing with the Yankees in 2017.
