A budding superstar at age 21, Rodríguez has been racking up the accolades of late, winning his second straight AL Rookie of the Month Award at the end of June and adding his first AL Player of the Week Award on Tuesday.

Showcasing a rare blend of power and speed, Rodríguez is hitting .277 with 15 homers, 43 RBIs, 21 steals and an .823 OPS over 82 games this season. Since June 1, he's gone deep nine times with a .946 OPS.

If there’s anyone who knows what it’s like to capture the attention of the baseball world at such a young age, it’s Guerrero. The Blue Jays first baseman finished second in the AL MVP Award voting at 22 years old last year, and he’s followed that up with 19 homers and 53 RBIs over 81 games in 2022.

Tonight's game also presents a matchup between two clubs in the thick of the AL Wild Card race. Toronto held the third AL Wild Card spot entering Wednesday, followed by the Guardians (2 1/2 games behind) and the Mariners (3 1/2 games behind).
