GLENDALE, Ariz. -- After another big day at the plate, Cavan Biggio's slow start in the Arizona Fall League seems like a distant memory.
Biggio, Toronto's No. 9 prospect, headlined a 14-hit Surprise attack on Tuesday afternoon with a three-hit performance that helped power the Saguaros in a 10-1 rout of Glendale at Camelback Ranch.

The multihit performance was Biggio's fourth in his last 10 games -- a stretch during which he's hit .371 (13-for-35) after beginning his Fall League campaign in a 1-for-17 funk.
"First getting out here, after taking two weeks off from the season, your timing gets off a little bit. So that first week or two I was trying to get my timing back and things started to click," said Biggio, who's hitting .269/.403/.442 in the Fall League after finishing Tuesday's contest 3-for-4 with an RBI, a walk and one run scored.
After hitting a line-drive single to right-center field and then reaching via a walk in his first two trips to the plate, Biggio delivered an RBI single to left as part a six-run fourth inning in which the Saguaros sent 11 batters to the plate. MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. followed Biggio's RBI single with one of his own, snapping an 0-for-12 skid at the plate for the 19-year-old third baseman.
Biggio, a left-handed hitter, collected his third single of the game in the fifth inning on a line drive to the opposite field. In his final at-bat of the day, the 23-year-old lined out to right field on the first pitch.
The ability to use the entire field has been central to Biggio's success this fall after a regular season in which he focused on tapping into his pull-side power en route to a career-high 26 home runs and 99 RBIs over 132 games at Double-A New Hampshire.
"It's something I want to get back to doing," said Biggio when asked about his approach. "I got away from it this year ... trying to get the head out more often, but I have the ability to use the whole field, and that's what I'm going to try to get back to."
Several of Biggio's teammates also swung the bat well in the Saguaros' victory. Pirates Nos. 5 and 8 prospects Cole Tucker (2-for-3, 2 BB) and Bryan Reynolds (3-for-5), as well as Cardinals farmhand Andy Young (2-for-4, 2 RBIs), all finished with multiple hits, while D-backs catcher Renae Martinez connected on a three-run home run in the fifth inning.
Surprise starting pitcher Scott Blewett, the No. 26 prospect in the Royals' system, allowed a first-inning run but settled in and completed four innings of four-hit ball as he improved to 4-0 with a 2.21 ERA in the AFL. He struck out one batter and induced eight ground-ball outs in the performance, throwing 34 of 51 pitches for strikes.
The Saguaros' bullpen was equally impressive, as five relievers combined to cover the final five frames while allowing just two hits.
White Sox No. 4 prospect Luis Robert (No. 44 overall) went 2-for-4 for Glendale to increase his AFL hitting streak to 12 games and his batting average to .367. Indians outfielder Connor Marabell also tallied two hits, as he and Robert combined for four of the Desert Dogs' six hits in the loss.
