Day 3 of the Little League World Series was filled with win-or-go-home matchups and saw a surprising elimination of one of baseball's biggest powerhouses.
Mexico and Rhode Island survived their matchups thanks to their potent lineups and California pitcher Victor Lizarraga hurled a two-hitter to topple Texas. The big match of the day, though, featured Curacao and Japan, which saw the Caribbean region beat a perennial Little League champion, 2-1.
