Play Beat the Streak now -- and lock in these picks
Beat the Streak is back for the 2022 season -- and the $5.6 million prize is still up for grabs.
The idea is simple -- pick one player (or two) every day who you think will get a hit. The objective -- surpass Joe DiMaggio's record-long 56-game hitting streak -- is a bit more challenging.
But we are here to help with that. We'll provide BTS leaderboard updates and daily insights on favorable matchups in this space, as well as every weekday on the new “Beat the Streak Daily: Inside the Hits” podcast.
Let's take a closer at the action from yesterday and today:

He's batting .385 with a home run in 13 at-bats against Pirates Game 1 starter JT Brubaker, and he has two home runs in six at-bats against Game 2 starter Bryse Wilson, who's allowed 22 hits in just 9 2/3 innings over his last three outings and is just coming back from the Minors.
José Ramírez, Guardians (at Rockies)
Ramírez has an 1.130 OPS and nine home runs in his past 24 games over the past month. Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela has allowed 67 hits with only 20 strikeouts in 41 innings this season and is pitching at Coors.
OFFENSE(S) TO AVOID
Nationals (vs. Braves -- Max Fried)
The Braves have won 12 in a row and Fried has been on a roll, with no more than one run allowed in each of his past three starts. He's pitched at least six innings in 10 straight starts.
Angels (at Dodgers -- Tony Gonsolin)
Gonsolin has allowed more than three hits just twice in 11 starts this season. The Dodgers right-hander has allowed just 31 hits total in 57 innings this year (4.9 hits per nine innings) to go along with his 1.58 ERA.
