June 30: Orioles 5, Astros 2 -- First sweep at Minute Maid Park
The Orioles completed their best series of the season thus far, completing a three-game sweep on the road, where they've frequently struggled. It was their first sweep of the Astros since June 17-19, 2008, and their first ever at Minute Maid Park.

June 29: Orioles, 13. Astros, 3. -- O's survive lots of walks, again
The Orioles registered their second consecutive win over the Astros despite issuing nine walks as a pitching staff. This after they won the night before, despite issuing 10 free passes. In doing so, they became the first team to issue nine or more walks in back-to-back games and win both in almost three years, since the Braves on Sept. 8-9, 2018.

June 28: Orioles 9, Astros, 7 -- O's hang on in a marathon affair
The Orioles overcame a season-high 10 walks to hang on to beat the Astros. At 4 hours and 19 minutes, the victory marked the fourth-longest nine-inning game in Orioles history. It was also the first time the Orioles issued at least 10 walks in a nine-inning game and won in 13 years -- since June 20, 2008 -- against Milwaukee.

June 27: Blue Jays 5, Orioles 2 -- Mountcastle snaps homerless streak
Ryan Mountcastle's first-inning homer snapped a five-game streak without a homer from an Orioles player. The five-game streak was the longest single-season streak without a Baltimore player going deep in a game since the club went homerless from June 15-19, 2012. Baltimore's longest streak without a home run was a seven-game stretch lasting from August 4-11, 1992.

June 26: Blue Jays 12, Orioles 4 -- Two-out woes
Every run that the Orioles allowed came with two outs.

June 25: Orioles 6, Blue Jays 5 (10) -- The hit parade
Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins has a team-leading 22 multi-hit games this season. His 90 hits on the season lead all American League outfielders and ranks second among all AL batters (Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – 91)

June 24: Blue Jays 9, Orioles 0 -- Kremer can't corral command
The Orioles extended their franchise-record road losing streak to 20 games, and Dean Kremer's nightmare first inning was a big reason why. Allowing six runs on five walks in one-third of an inning, Kremer became the first O's pitcher in the Modern Era to issue at least five walks while recording one out or fewer. Kremer walked his first three hitters, and five of eight, including four ahead of Lourdes Gurriel Jr.’s grand slam.

June 23: Astros 13, Orioles 0 -- Welcome to the club, Mickey
At 33 years and 189 days old, Mickey Jannis became the third-oldest Oriole to make his Major League debut. After pitching out of the 'pen, the knuckleballer became the eighth Oriole to make his big league debut this season -- marking the most debuts in the American League this season, tying the Marlins for the most in the Majors.

June 22: Astros 3, Orioles 1 -- Mullins clutch in close games
Cedric Mullins recorded his second sacrifice fly of the season and the third of his career in the third inning to score Pedro Severino and tie the game at 1. Fifteen of his 26 RBIs this season have either tied the game or given the O’s a lead, which is tied with Trey Mancini for the team lead.

June 21: Astros 10, Orioles 2 -- O's avoid no-hitter history
Baltimore narrowly avoided being no-hit in Monday's loss to the Astros, when Maikel Franco broke up Houston's combined efforts with two outs in the eighth. It was the closest the Orioles have come to being no-hit in more than two years, since Hanser Alberto broke up Tampa Bay's combined effort on June 14, 2019, with a leadoff single in the ninth.

June 20: Blue Jays 7, Orioles 4 -- Mancini hits Nos. 99 and 100
Trey Mancini hit the 99th and 100th homers of his career to power the Orioles' offense. The O's slugger has 14 homers in 69 games in his first season back after beating Stage 3 colon cancer. According to the Orioles, Mancini is the team's fastest player to 100 career home runs (531 games) since the team moved to Baltimore.

"It means a lot, especially because there were a lot of times last year when I thought I’d always be stuck on 86 and not get the opportunity to hit any more," Mancini said.

June 19: Blue Jays 10, Orioles 7 -- O's feel the power surge
The Orioles hit a season-high six homers in their loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday, with Ryan Mountcastle (three HRs) and Cedric Mullins (two HRs) providing multi-homer games. In fact, Baltimore's first six hits were all homers, and that's where the history comes in. It was the first time in franchise history that the Orioles' first six hits of a game were all homers; the last team to do it was the Indians on June 24, 1989, against the Rangers.

June 18: Orioles 7, Blue Jays 1 -- Mullins atop AL hitting leaders
Cedric Mullins entered Friday's win over the Blue Jays trailing Toronto first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. by one for the American League lead in hits. He ended the game atop that leaderboard by two, after Mullins led the Orioles to victory behind a three-hit night and Guerrero Jr. went hitless. Mullins now leads AL hitters and ranks third in MLB with 84 hits through 69 games played.

June 17: Indians 10, Orioles 3 -- Hays' homer a personal best
Tucked into the Orioles' 19th consecutive road defeat was Austin Hays' sixth homer of the year, a 421-foot solo shot off Eli Morgan in the second. It marked the furthest homer of Hays' career, topping his previous longest of 419 feet, which came off Corey Kluber on May 14, 2021.

June 16: Indians 8, Orioles 7 -- Mountcastle knocks in four runs
The brightest part of the Orioles' 18th consecutive road defeat on Wednesday at Progressive Field was Ryan Mountcastle. Hitting safely in each of his first three at-bats, the rookie finished 3-for-5 with four RBIs, two coming on his fifth-inning two-run homer. The effort boosted Mountcastle’s RBI total to 36 -- the most for an Orioles player age 25 or younger through the team’s first 67 games since Adam Jones (42) and Nick Markakis (40) in 2009.

June 15: Indians 7, Orioles 2 -- O's extend road woes
Tuesday's loss to the Indians stretched their franchise-record road losing streak to 17 games, marking the second-longest road skid in MLB this season (Arizona, 21 games) and tied for the seventh-longest road losing streak in American League history. The longest? 22 games, by the Philadelphia Athletics, in 1943.

June 14: Indians 4, Orioles 3 -- Two stolen bases for Mullins
For the first time in his career, Cedric Mullins stole two bases in one game. His 11th and 12th stolen bags came in the top of the eighth inning on Monday. Mullins is the fist Orioles player since Jonathan Villar (Aug. 30, 2019) to record a multiple-stolen-base game.

June 13: Rays, 7 Orioles, 1 -- O's set club road losing streak record
The Orioles set a new franchise record with their 15th consecutive road loss on Sunday, which includes their time as the St. Louis Browns before moving to Baltimore in 1954. Additionally, Sunday's loss dropped them to 0-6 against the Rays this season; they've lost 12 of their last 13 games against Tampa Bay dating back to Aug. 25, 2020.

June 12: Rays 5, Orioles 4 -- O's lose 14th straight on the road
The loss at Tropicana Field marked Baltimore's 14th consecutive road defeat, a franchise record. The 1988 and 2018 Orioles were tied with 13.

June 11: Rays 4, Orioles 2 -- O's tie road losing streak record
The Orioles dropped their 13th straight road game with the series-opening loss. They tied their longest road losing streak since the club moved to Baltimore in 1954. The 1988 and 2018 teams each lost 13 straight.

June 9: Mets 14, Orioles 1 -- Harvey's tough outing
Matt Harvey's struggles continued, when the righty allowed seven earned runs in three innings to his former team, losing to the Mets for the second time in two starts this season. The outing raised his ERA to 7.41, through 13 starts. He is only the eighth pitcher since 2019 to post an ERA over 7.00 in his first 13 starts of the year, three of whom (David Hess, Aaron Brooks, Harvey) were Orioles.

June 8: Orioles 10, Mets 3 -- Putting the 'O' in offense
It's been a while since the Orioles' bats broke out like this. The Orioles scored 18 runs on Sunday and 10 in Tuesday's win over the Mets. It marked the first time they've scored double-digit runs in consecutive games since Sept. 23-24, 2019, both against the Blue Jays.

June 6: Orioles 18, Indians 5 -- Most runs in nearly 6 years
Despite losing John Means to the injured list, the Orioles enjoyed their best all-around onfield day in almost six years. Their 18 runs were their most since Aug. 16, 2015 (an 18-2 win over the A’s). Their 21 hits were their most since Aug. 30, 2019, when they had 21 in a 14-2 win over the Royals.

June 5: Indians 10, Orioles 4 -- Mullins tanks two
Cedric Mullins smacked his seventh and eighth home runs of the season as part of a 5-for-5 effort. He became only the third Oriole to hit two homers as part of a 5-for-5 or better day, joining Cal Ripken Jr. and Brooks Robinson. Mullins also owns the last two five-hit performances by an Oriole, and he has the only two this season. He is the third player in franchise history (since 1954) to record multiple five-hit games in a season.

June 4: Orioles 3, Indians 1 -- Santander stays contributing
Walking in the seventh and providing an important insurance run with a sac fly in the eighth, Anthony Santander was a low-key contributor in Baltimore's win over the Indians on Friday. The switch-hitter has now reached base safely in 13 of 14 games since returning from the injured list on May 21, hitting safely in 12 of those contests. Santander is batting .321 (17-for-53) over this stretch with seven doubles and one home run.

June 2: Orioles 6, Twins 3 -- O's first home series win of '21
Baltimore won its first series at home since Sept. 14-16, 2020, with back-to-back wins Tuesday and Wednesday. One-quarter of the way into the season (55 games) is the second latest in franchise history -- in terms of total team games -- to earn the season's first home series win, trailing only to the 1940 St. Louis Browns, who took 57 games to earn the home series win, per the Elias Sports Bureau.

June 1: Orioles 7, Twins 4 -- O's break losing streak(s)
The Orioles snapped their 14-game losing streak with Tuesday's win, and they also snapped a separate losing streak against Minnesota. The victory was their first over the Twins since March 29, 2018, a span of 17 games. Minnesota's 16-game win streak against Baltimore was tied for its second longest against any single opponent in 121 seasons of Twins/Senators baseball.
