I’ve seen enough first pitches to where I have a pretty good gauge on them and this one just didn’t do it for me. First of all, you have to start on the rubber. It’s kind of the first rule in Pitching 101. The second rule has to be that you can’t run halfway towards the plate and if you do, you’ve got to throw a strike, which happens to be rule number three. So while I like the idea and the effort, the flaws were too big to ignore for me. But you can always improve on the next one.
