Welcome to Atlanta, where the best players will play next summer.

With this year’s Midsummer Classic concluding on Tuesday night, it’s time to begin looking toward the 2025 All-Star Game, which will be held at Truist Park. This will be the third time Atlanta has hosted this event and the first time since the game was played at Turner Field in ‘00.

“Everybody is excited and believes we are ready to make this the best All-Star Game in the history of Major League Baseball,” Braves president and CEO Derek Schiller said.

Schiller and approximately 30 members of his organization spent the past few days in Texas, enjoying this year’s All-Star festivities and developing ideas for next year. The event extends far beyond the game played by the National League and American League All-Stars.

MLB stages many different community events and annually features top prospects in the Futures Game. The MLB Draft has become a part of the All-Star festivities, and the Home Run Derby remains one of the popular events.

This year’s Draft was held at the Cowtown Coliseum, a rodeo venue in Fort Worth. The Braves will look to add their own local flair to some of these same events.

“There’s a lot to be learned by how Texas hosted the All-Star Game and the All-Star Game festivities,” Schiller said. “They made it uniquely Texas and uniquely Arlington. For us, that we make Atlanta shine, make The Battery shine, make Truist Park shine -- we have the ability to really create an event that showcases what makes our team, our ballpark, our city and The Battery so special.”

The Battery is the envy of countless professional sports organizations that have flocked to Atlanta to tour the development connected to Truist Park. The Braves own this 2.25-million-square-foot mixed-use destination that features great restaurants, hotels, boutiques, bars, a few bowling lanes and a concert hall.

“This is an opportunity for us to show the world what we built,” Schiller said. “We’re really proud of it. We hope that everybody who comes really enjoys it and understands how special it is to have an opportunity to host an event like this, where all eyes of the baseball world and the broader world are on us.”
