Astros outfield prospect Daz Cameron will miss the rest of the season after he was diagnosed with a broken left index finger.
Cameron, Houston's No. 5 overall prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, was hit by a pitch by State College pitcher Bryan Dobzanski in the first inning on July 7. Cameron, 19, was playing for Class A Tri-City.
The Astros selected the outfielder with the 37th overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft. Cameron was a high school All-American and the 2015 Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year, and he's the son of former Major League outfielder Mike Cameron.
Cameron was hitting .212 with two home runs, 20 RBIs and 12 stolen bases in 40 games between Class A Quad Cities and Tri-City this season.
