The Arizona Fall League, which begins play next Monday, features its usual assortment of big names. Fourteen Top 100 Prospects are headed to the developmental circuit, with Royals first baseman Jac Caglianone, Padres catcher Ethan Salas and Mariners shortstop Colt Emerson highlighting that contingent.

The AFL has sent more than 3,000 players to the big leagues since it began play in 1992. Several lesser-known prospects have put themselves on the map in baseball's finishing school, including the last three Fall League MVPs in Nelson Velázquez (now with the Royals), Heston Kjerstad (Orioles) and Jakob Marsee (Marlins).

Here's a squad of non-Top 100 guys worth watching in Arizona:

Thayron Liranzo, C, Tigers
The key to July's Jack Flaherty trade for the Tigers, he offers plus raw power and arm strength.

Tre' Morgan, 1B, Rays
Perhaps the best first-base defender in the Minors, he hit .324/.408/.483 in his first full pro season.

Thomas Saggese, 2B, Cardinals
Offensive-minded middle infielder has recorded consecutive 20-homer seasons.

Brock Wilken, 3B, Brewers
Broke all of Wake Forest's home records before going 18th overall in last year's Draft.

Tommy Troy, SS, Diamondbacks
The 12th overall pick in 2024, he has a higher offensive ceiling than most shortstops.

Henry Bolte, OF, Athletics
Here's one power/speed (15 homers, 46 steals) A's outfielder ...

Denzel Clarke, OF, Athletics
... followed by another (13 homers, 36 steals).

Zyhir Hope, OF, Dodgers
Tremendous athlete with plus raw power, double-plus speed, well-above-average arm strength.

Kemp Alderman, DH, Marlins
Has a huge frame (6-foot-3, 250 pounds) and even bigger raw power.

Yu-Min Lin, LHP, Diamondbacks
May have the best lefty changeup in the league and his curveball is a weapon as well.

Grant Taylor, RHP, White Sox
The best AFL arsenal: lively mid-90s fastball, sharp low-90s cutter, pair of solid breaking pitches.
