Here are the top 10 performers from Opening Night in the Arizona Fall League:

Joey Bart, C, Giants No. 1
Bart wasted no time in his Fall League debut, launching a two-run home run to left-center field in the top of the first inning and then later another no-doubter in the seventh. Bart joins the Scottsdale Scorpions after a first full professional season split between Class A Advanced San Jose and Double-A Richmond. In 79 games between the two levels, the 22-year-old hit .278 with 16 home runs (including a pair of two-homer games) and an .824 OPS. A broken left hand in mid-April cost Bart over a month and a half, so the AFL season will allow Major League Baseball’s No. 2 catching prospect to fill out his 2019 season. More »

Luis Garcia, INF; Sterling Sharp, RHP, Nationals Nos. 2 and 13
Garcia came flying out of the gates in the Fall League, going 4-for-5 for Surprise on Wednesday night. MLB's No. 92 prospect picked up three singles and a double, plus a stolen base. The 19-year-old came on late in the regular season and, over 129 games with Double-A Harrisburg in 2019, hit .257 with four home runs and a .617 OPS.

On the mound, Sterling Sharp got the start and was very sharp, throwing three hitless innings with just one walk allowed and four strikeouts. More »

Trey Harris, OF, Braves
Harris went 2-for-4 with a home run for the Scorpions in their AFL Opening Day victory on Wednesday. The 23-year-old was drafted in the 32nd round of the 2018 MLB Draft and played his first full season of pro ball this year, batting .323 with 14 home runs and 73 RBIs in 131 games for the Double-A Mississippi Braves.

Jerar Encarnacion, OF, Marlins No. 17
Encarnacion launched a solo home run to left center field in the fifth inning for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League opener on Wednesday. Encarnacion, 21, split the 2019 season between Class A Clinton and Class A Advanced Jupiter, where he hit a combined .276 with 16 home runs and a .756 OPS.

Josh Stowers, OF, Yankees
Stowers opened his AFL season in right field for Surprise, where he went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Stowers, whom the Yankees acquired in January for Shed Long, spent this season with Class A Charleston, where he hit .273 with seven home runs and a .786 OPS. With a high strikeout total of 123 over 105 games, Stowers walked 64 times and maintained an impressive .386 on-base percentage.

Miguel Amaya, C, Cubs No. 2
Amaya got off on the right foot in the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday as he went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a walk. The No. 87 prospect in Major League Baseball singled home a run in the fifth before bringing home two more with his double in the seventh. The 20-year-old catcher spent the full season with Class A Advanced Myrtle Beach, where he hit .235 with 11 home runs and a .753 OPS over 99 games while playing strong defense behind the plate.

Marcus Wilson, OF, Red Sox No. 17
Red Sox hitters played a key part in Peoria erasing an early 5-0 deficit and going on to win, 10-6. Wilson went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and three RBIs. One single was 105.6 mph off the bat while his double was clocked at 101.2 mph. He also robbed Rockies slugger Roberto Ramos of extra bases to help preserve the lead in the bottom of the ninth inning with a nifty grab at the right field wall.

Travis Jones, 1B, Royals
Jones started the AFL opener for Surprise at first base on Wednesday and reached base four times, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a pair of walks. The 23-year-old spent the majority of his 2019 season with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he hit .262 with three home runs and a .713 OPS over 59 games.

Jhenderson Hurtado, LHP, A's
Hurtado fired 16 of his 23 pitches for strikes and cruised through two scoreless frames. The 23-year-old lefty retired six of the seven batters he faced, striking out three and yielding just one hit.
