With less than an hour to go until the 4 p.m. ET deadline, many races will come right down to the wire, and your votes will have a huge impact as most position battles have yet to be decided.

We are in the midst of selecting the starting position players for the 2019 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard. This is your chance to make your voice heard in the first-ever Starters Election portion of the Google MLB All-Star Ballot, which is taking place over a 28-hour period that ends today at 4 p.m. ET.

• Google MLB All-Star Starters Election Ballot

The candidates for this vote -- three at each position, with nine in the outfield -- were selected during the Primary, which wrapped up on Friday. From that group of finalists, 17-- eight in the National League and nine in the American League, counting the designated hitter -- will comprise the starting lineups for the Midsummer Classic, which will be played on July 9 at Cleveland’s Progressive Field.

The latest standings are available below, but first a few reminders:

• During the 28-hour voting period, fans can vote one of two ways:

  1. On MLB platforms, including MLB.com, all 30 club websites and the MLB At Bat and MLB Ballpark mobile apps.
  2. Via Google Search (in the U.S. and Canada only), fans can most efficiently vote for any player on the ballot by entering a player's name (for example, “Mike Trout”), taking you directly to that player's section of the ballot. In addition, fans can go directly to the Google ballot or enter searches such as “MLB All-Star Ballot” or “MLB vote” or “MLB All-Star vote” in the search bar. Fans can vote once on MLB platforms, and can also submit up to 17 unique player votes (or the equivalent of a full ballot) on Google.

• The leading vote-getters at each position (top three in each outfield) will start the All-Star Game for their respective leagues.

• Winners will be announced tonight at 7 ET on ESPN. The runners-up do not automatically make the All-Star roster. As always, fans vote only on starters, and reserves are picked via the process outlined here. The rest of the All-Star Game rosters will be announced at 5:30 p.m. ET on Sunday on ESPN.
