Back behind the dish, Adley Rutschman hit his seventh double of the season and finished Tuesday's rain-shortened seven-inning game 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored. June 26: On-base streak extends despite down night
A second-inning walk extended Adley Rutschman's on-base streak to eight games despite a dreary 0-for-4 day at the plate. Baseball's No. 2 overall prospect did record his 32nd RBI of the season on a double play in the fifth inning and continues to see the ball extremely well, boasting a .426 OBP alongside a .947 OPS through his first 45 Double-A games. June 25: Singles and scores to extend on-base streak
Adley Rutschman extended his on-base streak to seven games Friday night, going 2-for-4 with an RBI, run scored and a walk in Double-A Bowie's loss to New Hampshire. His RBI came in the ninth on a single as the Baysox tried to stage a comeback, but ultimately fell 10-8. It was the third game in a row where the 23-year-old catcher has reached base on multiple occasions and the sixth in his last seven. He has worked five walks in four games against the Fisher Cats. Double-A New Hampshire pitchers wanted no part of Adley Rutschman Thursday night, walking him twice for the second night in a row. Rutschman went 0-for-2 on the night and even though he went hitless, it still helped his extend his on-base streak to six games. He has also reached base multiple times in five of those six. June 23: Hits double and reaches base three times
Adley Rutschman flexed his solid eye at the plate Wednesday night, as the Orioles' No. 1 prospect hit a double and walked twice in Double-A Bowie's loss to New Hampshire. Rutschman went 1-for-3 at the plate, marking the fifth game in a row where he has reached base and the fourth in his last five where he has reached multiple times. On the day where baseball's No. 1 prospect Wander Franco made his MLB debut, No. 2 prospect Adley Rutschman made sure no one forgot about him. Rutschman slapped a two-run homer Tuesday night for Double-A Bowie, his 11th of the season. Rutschman finished the night 1-for-5 as the Baysox fell to New Hampshire. June 20: Shows patience, precision at the plate
Adley Rutschman posted a triple-double of sorts on Sunday as he walked twice, struck out twice and threw out two baserunners for Double-A Bowie. Rutschman has 34 walks this season, the most among all players at Double-A. The Orioles' No. 1 prospect threw out his first baserunner in the fourth inning, teaming up with the Orioles' No. 2 prospect, pitcher Grayson Rodriguez, for a strikeout-caught stealing double play. He threw out another would-be basestealer in the eighth inning. Rutschman has caught five of 18 runners trying to steal in 25 games at catcher this season. June 19: Tallies RBI in two-hit night
Adley Rutschman reached base three times for Double-A Bowie as he slapped a two singles, drove in a run and worked a walk in a 2-for-5 ballgame. He was also caught stealing for the second time this season. His lone RBI came in the 10th as the Baysox looked to avoid losing in extras for a second night in a row, but they fell to Akron 17-9 in 12 innings. June 18: Notches two hits in loss
Adley Rutschman had a solid night at the plate Friday, going 2-for-4 for Double-A Bowie. Both of his hits were singles in the sixth and eighth innings. Akron showed some respect to the No. 2 prospect in baseball in extras, issuing him an intentional walk in the 11th inning. Bowie struggled for runs in the contest, as the Baysox lost to Akron 5-1. While there wasn't much offense for Double-A Bowie Wednesday, Adley Rutschman still managed to have himself a multihit night. Adley Rutschman, manning first base and the two-hole in Bowie's lineup, racked up three hits and launched his 10th homer of the year, an opposite-field moonshot in the Baysox's 10-0 win over Binghamton. Adley Rutschman failed to reach base for the first time in 20 games Saturday night, going 0-for-4 for Double-A Bowie. He still managed to be productive despite not reaching base though, tallying an RBI on a sac fly in the first inning. Double-A Northeast pitchers can't seem to figure out a way to keep Adley Rutschman off the basepaths. The No. 2 prospect in baseball slapped a single in a 1-for-4 night to extend his hitting streak to seven games and his on-base streak to 20. Rutschman also walked and scored two runs on the night. Adley Rutschman is on another planet right now. The Orioles' No. 1 prospect smashed a two-run home run for Double-A Bowie Thursday, his ninth of the year and third in the past five games. Adley Rutschman capped his weekend with two more hits Sunday, including his eighth home run of the season for Double-A Bowie. The Orioles' top prospect added a gift double in the eighth inning when his sky-high popup landed on the grass about 20 feet in front of home plate. June 5: Homers as streak runs to 15
Adley Rutschman sent a game-tying homer out to left as he extended his on-base streak to 15 games for Double-A Bowie. Baseball's no. 2 overall prospect went 3-for-5 on the night, adding a double, a single and three runs scored to his clutch blast. Rutschman is now hitting .281 on the year with a .977 OPS. Adley Rutschman singled for Double-A Bowie Friday, extending his on-base streak to 14 games. Rutschman ended the night 1-for-4 with a run scored in the Baysox win. Rutschman once again went hitless, but extended his on-base streak to 13 games with a first inning walk. Baseball's no. 2 overall prospect is hitting just .083 (1-for-12) through three June games.
