Two-sport star? Hicks hits hole-in-one
Aaron Hicks has thrived under the brightest lights at Yankee Stadium, and we’ve certainly seen him pull off some impressive athletic feats on the diamond. But with some mighty company beside him, Hicks showed he can dazzle with a golf club, too.
The Yankee outfielder not only pulled off a 303-yard hole-in-one Sunday on a par-4 hole at Silverleaf in Scottsdale, Ariz. -- he did so with Tiger Woods’ niece, pro golfer Cheyenne Woods, filming on her phone, per TMZ Sports. And when you do that, you’ve got to add in a vintage Tiger fist pump once you retrieve your ball, as Hicks did.
Hicks clearly has the driver distance these days to tame par 4s. Last week, TMZ shared a video of him launching a 330-yard drive at Top Golf. He follows in a proud lineage of MLB stars including Nelson Cruz and Cody Bellinger absolutely destroying golf balls, and it might be a time for an MLB player Driving Range Derby to serve as the winter’s sister showcase to the Home Run Derby.
