A's-Twins rained out, to be played as split Sunday doubleheader

June 15th, 2024

MINNEAPOLIS -- Though there wasn’t rain falling yet at 12:45 p.m. CT on Saturday, large bands of rain were scheduled to move into the Twin Cities with rain expected all afternoon, leading to the decision to postpone the penultimate matchup between Twins and A's at Target Field.

The teams will play a Father's Day split doubleheader on Sunday. The originally scheduled game will begin at 1:10 p.m. CT, with the second game slated for 6:40 p.m.

Minnesota is scheduled to send a pair of right-handers to the mound in Bailey Ober (Game 1) and Chris Paddack (Game 2). Oakland will counter with JP Sears in Game 1 and Joey Estes for Game 2.

The A’s will enter Sunday looking to snap a seven-game losing streak that was extended in heartbreaking fashion on Friday night after they blew a late lead and were walked off on for the third time in their last four games.

All fans holding tickets to the originally scheduled Saturday game can use their tickets for admission into the rescheduled 6:40 p.m. CT game on Sunday without taking any further action.

Fans are encouraged to visit www.twins.com/rainout for complete ticket exchange details (all exchanges must be completed by Sunday, June 16 at 6:40 p.m. CT).
