Félix Hernández will be back in the dugout at T-Mobile Park during All-Star weekend, and a whole host of Mariners standouts will be with him.

King Félix is set to be part of the coaching staff for the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, the annual showcase between the Minor Leagues’ most promising prospects. The game will take place on Saturday, July 8, at 7 p.m. ET as part of the 2023 All-Star Break festivities in Seattle.

Former Mariners Harold Reynolds (American League) and Raul Ibañez (National League) were announced in May as the managers of each squad, and the coaching staffs for each team were revealed Friday.

Hernández, a six-time All-Star and the 2010 AL Cy Young Award winner, will serve as the pitching coach for the NL team. Four-time All-Star Adrián Beltré, who won two Gold Gloves in his five seasons with the Mariners (2005-09), will be the NL squad’s bench coach. The NL coaching staff also includes Joel Piñeiro (bullpen coach), Randy Winn (first-base coach) and Dan Otero (quality control).

The AL team, managed by Reynolds -- who spent 10 years with the Mariners -- also includes plenty of Seattle standouts. Jamie Moyer, who spent 11 of his 25 Major League seasons with the Mariners, will be the pitching coach. Alvin Davis, the 1984 AL Rookie of the Year, will be the hitting coach. Longtime Mariner Jay Buhner will be the first-base coach, while Mike Cameron -- an All-Star with the record-setting 2001 Mariners -- will be the third-base coach.

Rosters for the Futures Game rosters will be unveiled in the coming weeks. This will be the fourth season that the Futures Game is playing under an AL-NL format after two decades of dividing the top prospects between the United States and the World. Barring another tie in this seven-inning exhibition, the winner will take the lead in the all-time series, which has been split 1-1-1 since 2019.
